235th post...

Today is a frabjous day. Callooh, callay!

I felt pretty sickly at first, dreading the fact that later I'd have to go for NCC Air. I hate doing pushups and running and doing stationary drills. Not to forget irritating change parades where you're to change into full camo uniform in like, 5 minutes?

But as it turns out, the first part of NCC Air today involved a theory lesson about camouflage, running 3 rounds and playing a little game. After that, we did a little marching and learnt several new commands. As it was raining, we moved into the shelter. We didn't do much marching there, just learning some more new commands.

Good thing is, next week, it's Labour Day on Monday so we'll have NCC on Wednesday. Depends though, because the PSL Talk is on the same day.

As you may have remembered my rantings on the failings of my poor MP3, I wrote to the Technical Support yesterday night and received an answer today. The solution: Reinstall the firmware. I tried it the first time, and it didn't work, so I checked the "Format data file" option, and thank goodness! It worked.

SO I HAVE MY WIDDLEY WIDDLE MP3 BACK!

Man, I am so dependent on technology in daily life. My internet was down and I was despairing like the world was ending. My MP3 went bust and I despaired like the world was ending too.

Beeeh. -________________________-

Had the first SMS chat with Jane in ages. Though not really a chat, kinda like a "Good Morning" wake-up SMS. Felt good though, to still keep in touch with friends. Should send one to Deen too. I wonder if she's still the violent person who loves to strangle her friends. (Last time I met her, she was still the same violent person who loves to strangle her friends.)

Ah yes, I still have homework to do. Boo hoo. I am a procrastinator, that's why. Maths is easy enough, but Geog...blearghy funky phoo.

Today's Maths teacher was a kooky one. Her name's Grace Tan, and she probably just fresh graduated from NIE or is under training since she's just 19 years old. She's eccentric, or as Joni calls it, spastic. She wrote a list of rules on the board everyone tried to break, and she used funny examples. Plus, she's sarcastic. ^^

The perks of having a teacher close to your age.

234th post...

I had a very goddamn sucky day yesterday.

My MP3 player is wrecked. I wanted to transfer a song into it, but there was a warning saying that it was too deep or something. Then another message came up "Windows-Delayed Write File" or "...Save", something like that. I thought nothing of it and just removed my MP3 player. On the bus to the Malay debate, I found out that all songs were wiped out from my MP3 player and the memory size shrunk from 512 MB to...32 MB.

Funnily enough, the radio quality was better than before.

I was late for the Malay debate competition, and it was frankly a waste of my time. Damn boring. All that for just finding out that RGS won against SJI. Yay. I could've known that when the principal announced it.

At home, in my haste to try and repair the damage done to my MP3 player, I yanked out my wireless adapter's USB cord. I replaced it later, and to my horror, my internet connection was gone. So I couldn't use the internet for one whole day.

I spent hours attempting to find a solution to restore my internet connection, but to no avail. Just now, my father glanced at my computer and decided to fix it. With a few clicks, he instantly restored the connection. I was left gaping there like an idiot.

Some people have green thumbs, but my father has digital thumbs. Able to fix almost anything with computers. 0.o Cool. Maybe I can pick up a few tips of the trade. And then I can fix my own computers. ^^

Anyway, my internet connnection is back, but my MP3? Sigh. I hope something will make it better soon.

Tomorrow there's NCC Air. I have now learnt to hate NCC Air. I get all depressed just knowing it's tomorrow. Damn it...

I can't wait for the June holidays to come.

232nd post...Palindromic!

Well, yesterday I stayed with Pearlyn, Maryam and Angie till 6 to decorate the class for RGS Book Day. While confined in that crazy classroom of mine, my mind decided to come up with a few things...
=+=+=+=+=+=
I'm Not - a collaborative poem by Pearlyn and me.
=+=+=+=+=+=
My name's not Willy Wonka
But I stole his purple cane
I use it to whack people
And cause them a lot of pain.

I'm not Augustus either
But I borrowed his big tummy
Now I'm terribly FAT
Just like his dear mummy.

I ain't Veruca Salt
That naughty little brute
Spoiled by her daddy
And pushed down the chute.

Nope I'm not Mike Teavee
With toy pistols everywhere
He was shrunk coz he was naughty
And became small as a hair.

I'm not Violet of course
That chewing-gum obsessed girl
"Chewing, chewing all day long"
Alas, she was turned purple.

Ah I'm not Charlie, not me
That good, kind little boy
For his poor, sad family
He brought them so much joy.

No! I'm not an Oompa Loompa
That I really am not
Well maybe I look like one
Just because I'm SHORT.

231st post...

RGS Book Day today...was...somewhat...OK...

People kept wanting to play with the toy pistols on my belt. =.= It's damn irritating, because I had already stuck them on with tape only to have them ripped off by some excited git.

In the end, the time finally came for us to present our skit, to wimpy 103. Why wimpy? Because at the end of our performance, they didn't want to act theirs out. Wimps. And their english teacher is a bitch. Or as Nana puts it "a pain in the asshole". Looks so unappreciative of our efforts, yet she can just talk and talk about her class. The way she acted with her class inside our classroom, looked as if we were visiting her class and not vice-versa. Huh. She was wearing an RJC uniform on that day, I mistook her for a student when she came into the classroom. Git.

I upset Liz today. Probably because she grabbed the pistol in Jaz's hand, finger covering the barrel just as Jaz was ready to press the trigger. I got mad, so I yanked the pistol away and wasted the shots. Then, during phototaking, I wanted to create this nice effect by shooting just at the same time Liz took the photo. Unfortunately, she took it the wrong way and stalked out. Was planning to write a letter to her, but I just said sorry and she accepted it. Hopefully.

I fell asleep during IT Club today. It was almost 5.30 or so, I wasn't sure. But Jaz was busy doing the storyboard, and Grace the script. I was supposed to be the cameraperson, so I didn't really care either way. I felt tired, so I sat in the plush red chair (YESYES I LUFF THE RED CHAIRS! <333) and fell asleep. Until 6, when IT Club ended.

Today Arts Central is airing Witch Hunter Robin 15! Ahahaha...the episode I could watch over...and over...again. One part in the episode is really touching...Heehee. Watch it for yourself and see.

230th post...

Surprise! I just found out that Gloria watches Gundam SEED too! Of all people, she's almost the last person I'd expect...

She was doodling a Haro on her Maths worksheet, and I just said, "Haro!". She looked at me funnily, then was overjoyed upon finding that someone else watched GS/D apart from her. I can't catch it as much as I want to, seeing that I'm only free on Wednesdays and Fridays. Then again, there's always the Net.

I just realised that I had misnumbered a post. The 227th post suddenly skips to 229. I forgot to delete a draft I had done earlier at my 127th post, so in reality I have a post less. I already deleted that post, so my post count should be correct now.

NCC Air yesterday was...something short of torture. Yes, Sufyan, go brag all you want, I don't care. We had to wear our camo uniform (otherwise known as No. 4) and do a change parade. I hate change parades. Damn it, I was always sure I tied my boots the right way, and when I pulled at the laces, it got stuck. On top of that, I misplaced my cap. I stuffed it in my uniform hanging on the hanger, and I thought that the cap would be secure there. Instead, it slipped out and got lost somewhere. Jaz recalls seeing a cap at the canteen during lunchtime, but later it was gone. So either someone had returned it to the Prefects Room or mistakenly given it to the Land people.

We learnt how to do basic marching drills and for the first time, punishment included push-ups. Usually the "Sir" would make us run and run and run, but now he has decided to make us do push-ups too. Feeeeh.

JX once described the "Sir" as pervertic-looking, geeky, nerdy, awful, disgusting and has a bad taste for clothes. Hm. I may agree with her on some points. Add sadistic to that list.

After NCC Air, I saw a size 7 cap left behind, the exact size I wear. However, everyone had left and no one claimed it. So I thought, maybe I'll take it now and later if I find my cap then this is not mine. It is possible that someone might've taken my cap mistakenly and worn it throughout, then later found their cap and abandoned my cap. Sigh. I hope someone found my cap and surrendered it to the Prefects Room. PLEEEASE.

My little brother managed to borrow a pellet gun from his friend, bringing the number of toy pistols I have now to a grand total of...FOUR. Where am I gonna find 14 more?!?!

112 must be the worst class in all of Sec 1. We successfully managed to drive out two teachers and stress out five all in a matter of four months. Only two teachers can stand us: our Science teacher and the Chinese teacher (according to Gloria and Gracia). Too bad our Science teacher's gonna be replaced soon as we start on a new module.

Good thing is, there's no Chinese today! w00t! And I was busy contemplating skipping Chinese. Luckily the teacher decided for me. ^.~

Yeah well, tomorrow's a pretty lax day. Blogyalater.

229th post...

RGS Book Day is the closest I can ever get to cosplaying right now.

Because we didn't celebrate World Book Day properly, the school decided to hold RGS Book Day. Each class will choose a book to represent, then the students will transform their classroom into the layout of that book. The two doors will become the front and back covers of the book, complete with title, illustration and author name. The interior will be the setting of the book, e.g. if the book is set in the woods, then the interior will be the woods.

The students will also have to change into a character from the book. They will wear their chosen character's clothing, and I suppose you also act like them. This is where the fun part comes in...

112 chose the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, because it has so many characters, especially Oompa-Loompas. So the students who don't become the main characters become chocolates and Oompas-Loompas.

Guess who I am?

Mike Teevee. The Wild-West-mad, telly-crazy, toy-pistol-toting boy.

How nice. Still, it is lovely wearing toy-pistols strapped on belts around your body. Heeheehee...my little brother has some pistols that fire off blanks, so I can fire them off and scare people in the vicinity.

Hoo boy. Oh yeah.

Well, as Mikey, I have to wear a red tee and any pair of jeans, plus of course the toy-pistols. I need at least 18 of them. *.* Eighteen...

Now I have to go to Yishun Central to get garters for the rest of my squadmates. Seeing as NCC Air has only one squad, squadmates it is then. Damn. Poor me. Whatever possessed me to volunteer?? Now I have the fate of 9 lives on my shoulders...I don't get the garters, they die, I die twice.

228th post...

I am in Computer Studies. Due to the timetable change, Mr Goh has two classes to take care of now. So he attends to his Sec 2 class whilst we stay down here doing nothing but watch the Kokoro flash twice.

I'd rather stay here like this. When I get home, I will have no time to blog or read fanfics or play games, so I better do whatever I want to do now. I hope Mr Goh is too busy to give us anything to do. HARHAR.

Later after this I have to go to the Gym to do the Gym routine we didn't manage to do last week. Then after that we have to attend some stupid idiotic History talk. DAMN IT! I was so hoping to go back home early. Whoever arranged the talk, it'd better be good or else.

Yesterday I watched Zodiac for Chinese class. The rat in the story is sooooo damn irritating! Stole the place for the Owl and yet still claims that the old guy chose him out of merit when he just happened to fall onto the book! And then after that, he jumps ahead of Ox to gain the title of Zodiac King. Ox has been the one carrying him throughout the whole damn journey and this is how he repays him! If I were a cat, I'd kill him alright!

Stupid rat. But then again it is in the nature of the rat to behave like that.

Blogyalater! I think the Kokoro flash epi no 2 is about to end soon. Damn it!

227th post...

I now truly realise how loving my mom is. (Not that I didn't know about it earlier...)

She packs my stuff for me when she sees me rushing around in the morning. She makes my Milo and toast for me. She used to stay up late with me in P4 and P5 to help me finish my Maths questions. She didn't scold me when I received low marks in P4 or P5, she just asked me to work harder and that I was just adjusting to the new system.

Today I was rushing around as usual in order not to be late and get a third booking and receive detention class. My mom was packing my NCC uniform in a bag, and she asked me if I needed to wear my orientation T-shirt now, which I needed for NCC. I misinterpreted her question and said no, so she put it back in the cupboard.

Later I got the feeling that I was missing something and SMSed my mom to ask if she packed my T-shirt in. She said that because I didn't want it, she placed it aside. I thought that OK, I'll wear my blouse then.

But Celeste told me that if you don't wear proper attire, your attendance will not be marked. So what's the point of going for something when you're not gonna be marked anyway? So Celeste helped me by asking around if anyone had a spare PE T-shirt. (Thanks, Celeste.) I made up my mind to rush back home and grab it and attempt to come back in time for NCC.

I SMSed my mom to ask if it would be OK if I rushed back. Instead, she told me to meet her at the bus-stop at 1.45, when school ended. She came all the way to Orchard Road just to pass me my T-shirt (as well as a pizza she made). My mom later said that she would be heading to Toa Payoh later to do some shopping.

Now I have made a decision to do something nice for my mom on Mother's Day. I've always wanted to write her a sajak for Mother's Day, but I've always had that lack of vocabulary to really seriously write a proper, nice-sounding one. Maybe now I can...hopefully.

Literature Tea tomorrow! Supposed to bring a poem. Eclairs and tea cakes provided by Mrs Loh, just that we pay 50c each. Yay!

I've found that I don't write poems now since last year, during the heat of PSLE. I suppose it's emotions that keep the poems running, and since I'm in a cooler mood than before, the creativity doesn't come fast enough. Maybe when I take my A Levels or something, then the surge will come again.

I've got a sort-of design for 112's class T-shirt. Because we are learning about the periodic table in Science, I got the idea of using the theme "Element 112". Exactly how the T-shirt will look like, I'm still designing it. But it'll be a simple one, my designing skills aren't expert.

Wargh. I keep listening to The Elements song by Tom Lehrer. It just sounds so...I don't know, it sticks in your head. Nancy made a challenge to memorise the song. I suppose I can memorise the song, but singing it at the speed Lehrer does...my tongue will twist in knots and bows!

Element 112 is also known as ununbium or eka-mercury. It was first created in November 9, 1996 at the GSI (the German name's too long) at Darmstadt in Germany. The element was created by fusing a zinc atom with a lead atom. Element 112 is one of the super-heavy elements (transuranium elements). It is expected to be a liquid metal more volatile than mercury. 225th post...

ORA Family Day today. I walked all the way to RJC, a bit confused at the entrance because I saw the RI sign first. Wondered why everyone was entering RI when the event was held at RJC.

Because I couldn't find the stall (I was blur, I actually passed it without knowing it was there), I spent half-an-hour wandering around, feeling intimidated by the number of students there, especially the JC students.

Met up with Maryam, and both of us searched for the Perbayu stall, with help from a senior. We ended up being half-an-hour late for our shift. As part of our "job", I donned on a sandwich-board sign, while Maryam just balanced the tray on her hand. =.= So many people took my photo...stupid sandwich-board.

We didn't sell anything for the first hour, but later I met TG and his dad. I asked TG to buy something, so he bought a packet of satay. One purchase, finally! (Thanks, TG.) Later, we did the approach method - approach and ask. Luckily, the widdle sandwich-board didn't need to do anything but walk around.

I didn't know that at the same time, PM Lee Hsien Loong was there to give a speech about ORA or something. I was reading the boards near the canteen about the evolution of the Houses, and I heard a very familiar voice. I thought it sounded like the PM, but then I wondered what the heck he'd be doing there anyway.

After the Perbayu stall sold everything, we packed up and headed to Masjid Sultan for the Berita Harian debate semi-finals. The first set was Victoria School versus St. Joseph's Institution, with the motion that Singapore's cosy lifestyle causes teens to be uninterested in politics. The overall winner was SJI.

The second set was RGS versus Serangoon Secondary. The motion I am unsure of now (something to do with the increase in technology in cellphones and the behaviour of teens), but it was one I was interested in. The last speaker for Serangoon added an unusual part in his final say. He asked the RGS debaters to take note of what he was going to say next, and he suddenly rattled off a string of numbers which he later explained was his phone number. The most original pick-up line I've ever seen so far. -.-"

224th post...

Well, I went down a part of the long-winded Memory Lane just now with my mom.

She brought out this red jewellery box filled with small lockets and bracelets that me and my sisters wore when we were very young, as well as a box with a bangle and a thick heavy chain. Initially, I thought the small lockets and bracelets were made out of gold-plated metal, but my mom later told me that they were made out of real gold, which would explain why that they didn't rust or flake off after all these years.

I compared the size of my sisters' bracelets and lockets to mine. Even though they were given when we were all of the same age, mine was...the smallest. =.=

Dude. Why is mine the smallest, man?! No wonder I'm stunted right now. My sisters have bigger gold chains, is that why they're taller and er...not exactly plumper anyway...

Got a look at my mom's wedding rings too. She preferred the no-frills kind of ring: no diamonds, no glitzy gems. Just a plain gold band with patterns engraved onto them.

Today was Sports Fest at Toa Payoh Stadium. Damn it, I walked one whole round around HDB Hub just to find the stupid place! It was on the other side of HDB Hub, instead of the side I stepped out of.

I kinda enjoyed doing Mass Dance today, and a pity I only enjoyed it the most during the last time I'd ever dance the routine.

Rosyth School participated in the 4x100m Invitational Relay! Plus, they won first place! GO ROSYTH GO!

Buckle may have been the last House, but we are the most enthusiastic of the five Houses! We won first place in the Cheerleading competition, and also first place in the overall cheer section. The cheerleaders were very good, and I really enjoyed the section of their routine where everyone stood up one by one and joined in the dancing in near-perfect synchronisation! OLE OLE OLE OLE~OLE~OLE~

After the Fest, me and Jaz and JX went to eat at Burger King, but before that we passed through HDB Hub where the exhibition for Fabric Of The Nation was still there. I picked up a brochure, and we searched the quilts for this one cloth patch that had a 0.1-carat heart-shaped diamond on it, surrounded by 38 pearls. It was done by these two jewellers. When we found it, it was pretty disappointing, we thought the pearls were arranged in a better way.

Tomorrow is the Walk-a-Jogathon (or Jog-a-Walkathon, whichever) organised by ORA. I'll be there to man the PERBAYU stall for the first shift (there might be another shift, but I can't tell if it's Munirah Sec 1 or Sec 2). The stall will sell satay and otah-otah, so be sure to stop by! Especially in shift one, where you can see my other two friends as well!

After that we're going to the Masjid Sultan auditorium for the semi-finals of debate. I hope this counts as support for school and I can get a signature for my activity card. I guess it could give me some experience too, though I don't like to debate.

Anyway, to end this off...

WHEN I SAY BUCKLE, YOU SAY "OH"!
WHEN I SAY BUCKLE, YOU SAY "LEH"!
BUCKLE OH, BUCKLE LEH
BUCKLE, BUCKLE
OLE OLE OLE OLE~OLE~OLE~
OLE OLE OLE OLE~OLE~OLE~
BUCKLE ROCKS!

223rd post...

I am right now in school waiting for IT Club to start.

Just now, I came across Mrs Tan who was giving a group of, what I presume, foreign principals or teachers a tour of RGS. Later, when me and Jaz and Grace arrived at the Magic Lab, they came in quite a while after that. Mrs Tan asked if we liked the iMacs so far and if we wanted to do projects. We replied that the iMacs were cool and yeah, we'd welcome projects later in the year.

Then the group came in toting their videocams. One of them aimed the vidcam at Jaz and asked her some questions. Of all people to videocam, he chose Jaz! Haha! Jaz, the person that's not photogenic at all! I suppose Mrs Tan is not that bad...she's pretty nice actually.

The teachers for IT Club are late. It's past 3.30 already...dudes...I don't wanna stay back for something that's not gonna start!

Had English Summative today. Erk. Sucks. Damn it. I didn't finish answering Q3 because I had no idea what the hell they were talking about. Feh. Hope I get a pass anyhow.

Nothing to blog about. Blogyalater!

222nd post...Palindromic!

Got a shocking surprise survey test today during MT. Was the last person to finish. Damn lar...stupid SAAB, what'd they need the test for?

Fell asleep on 980. Hopefully I didn't bang my head against the windows again, I do it quite often. Around Yishun, I was woken up by someone; I turned around and surprisingly saw Jane there. Turns out she rode 980 to accompany her friend who was staying in the Sembawang area, and she noticed me asleep on the bus.

It's raining often today. Started raining again now. Just now, when it was raining quite heavily, it left behind huge flowing puddles of water. My siblings and I made little paper boats and set them afloat. I named mine the 5th fleet, consisting of 5 small boats (AA, Sora, Tsubasa, Kaze and Crap) and one flagship (Ertrinkt/Kirisaku Kaze).

My whole fleet lasted long, until I decided that I had had enough. I sent Tsubasa down the drain, where it got stuck. After that I sent Sora down as well, and it pushed Tsubasa free and both went down the drain. My little brother also sent the rest down later apart from AA and Ertrinkt. Because AA was the longest-surviving and looked the most seaworthy, I sent it down the drain as well, as a form of honour. The last journey it would make.

Sigh. Only twice have I ever been allowed to go splashing about in the rain. I wonder if I'll get sick now, since I played in the rainwater puddles. Perhaps not. I did it before and I didn't get sick. Saaad.

OK. Finishing me homework now. I'll likely stay up till 1.30 or so. Drink Complan, get some energy, blarghy blargh blargh. I think I need to buy one of those trick electric pens to keep myself awake, whenever I feel sleepy just zap myself. Hmmm...good idea...

221st post...

I am right now in school during Computer Studies. The only time when you can ever interact with a computer in school.

I have had a sucky day so far, thanks to some balding old guy by the name of Mr Wolfe.

Sheesh. Even other teachers don't bang on my file so hard and yell "WAKE UP!" when I appear sleepy. I suppose it's because they're women and they understand better about me staying up at night to finish my homework.

Thank god I have such supportive classmates. Luff you 112! <3

Anyway, the teacher is showing us a Chinese flash that we've been watching in Com Studs for weeks. Episode by episode. Still, it's in Chinese so I have no idea what the heck they're talking about. Sucks. Looks like an interesting love story.

The dialogue is occasionally punctured by soundtrack from Potter Puppet Pals and my incessant typing. Now the flash is over, back to HTML. I plan to make my own blogskin when I finish this module.

Now cheating by taking a look at other HTML tutorial sites. I kinda like Lissa Explains It All, at http://www.lissaexplains.com/.

Sigh. Back to school.
